In November 2023, the Municipality of Modena and Modena Food Service Spa (a special-purpose company established by CIRFOOD and Ing. Ferrari S.p.A.) signed the concession for the design and construction of a new meal production center, as well as for the management of the catering service, primarily for nurseries, kindergartens, and primary schools in the municipal area.

Albion provided support to the promoter in submitting the private-initiative PPP proposal (pursuant to Article 183, paragraph 15 of Legislative Decree 50/2016), preparing – in successive phases – the financial and economic plan subject to certification, the draft concession agreement (with particular attention to economic/financial and bankability aspects), and also offering process assistance throughout the entire award phase, particularly during discussions with the Municipality of Modena aimed at obtaining the “public interest declaration” for the proposal, which would then serve as the basis for the tender.

The concession, valued at over €100 million, foresees the completion of the new meal production center by 2025 and the management of the service for 18 years, after which the new center will become part of the municipal assets free of charge.
