During the Relight Energy Services Solar Workshop occurred on 25 November 2022, Albion took part in the session dedicated to the “Loan management in the pre-closing and operation phase” highlighting the increasing complexity of the management of project financing structures in the renewable sector. Indeed, the introduction of a mix of revenue sources (i.e. PPAs and merchant schemes vs. long term incentive schemes) has led to more stringent covenants to be actively monitored by the Agent.

Albion as Agent acts as facilitator among the Borrower and the Lenders since the pre-closing phase in order to ensure a smooth management of the project loan. Albion’s nature of Financial Advisor stands out against the numerous financial covenants that a Borrower shall produce in order to verify their accurancy and completeness on behalf of the Lenders.
